The next opportunity for Lion, Cub, WEBELOS and Arrow Of Light leaders to get OWL training, BALOO training, and position specific training is at the Cub Leader Adventure Weekend (CLAW) coming up at Camp Carpenter on October 21 and 22.

As your training chair, my commitment is to keep training content accurate here at  I then send updates to Daniel Webster Council, but understand that it may take time to see the updates there as all districts are directing updates to council staff to update.

  • Not Yet Listed: Outdoor Leader Skills for WEBELOS Leaders (OWLS) – Hoge Base Walpole October 22 @ 8:00 am - October 23 @ 12:00 pm  Completion of OWL training is required before a WEBELOS den can go on a campout.  Because the training is so similar to Boy Scout IOLS, this training is being offered in conjunjunction owil IOLS, and OWL participants will receive credit for BOTH trainings, preparing them for the road ahead to Boy Scouts.

NOTE: Effective January 1, 2018, previous courses of Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) and Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders (OWLS) have been combined into the new Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) course.
